Payal are sold as a pair here, always — a single anklet is a spare, not a purchase.

The finish is oxidised silver on brass, which suits payal better than a gold plate does: it is darker, it does not show scuffing the way a bright finish does, and payal take more knocks than anything else in the catalogue simply because of where they are worn.

Ghungroo counts vary by design, and so does how much noise they make. If you want the sound, the heavier chains carry more bells and ring more clearly. If you would rather they stayed quiet, ask us and we will point you at the flat-link designs, which are almost silent.

Every pair fastens with an adjustable chain and a lobster clasp, giving about an inch and a half of range at the ankle.
